Fred’s mandate is to identify opportunities and evaluate growth strategies that will allow Maxxam to expand its services to meet the emerging needs of our customers in petroleum, oil sands and related fields. He is a strategic leader with success in international business operations for large and mid-sized corporations, with a unique and complementary background in venture capital financing and private equity investing. His career has included international assignments in the U.S. and West Africa.
Prior to Maxxam, Fred was VP and General Manager of Acquisitions for ShawCor Ltd., with seven divisions operating through 70 facilities around the world. Fred is a previous director of select oilfield service companies whose activities ranged from pipeline construction to seismic data gathering. Fred is on the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada (PTAC), Chairman of VaporTech Energy Services and is on the Advisory Board for the Energy Services Summit. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta.
