Randy has made significant contributions to the technical standards being adopted by some of Canada’s largest companies to manage workplace risk arising from drug and alcohol use. He is responsible for executive oversight and strategy management of seven Maxxam business units where he serves as a business coach and mentor for colleagues in the formative stages of their careers. Randy contributes his experience and technical knowledge to bring innovative, practical and tangible solutions to customers’ problems.
Randy started his career with Mann Testing Labs directly out of graduate school, starting as a research scientist. Mann Testing evolved into Maxxam and Randy stayed with the company managing laboratory operations (drug testing, bioanalytical, and DNA testing), leading business development and customer service organizations across all Maxxam lines of business, and directing a variety of turn-around, emerging and mature business units. Randy has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. He has published 16 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented numerous scientific papers at venues around the world.
