Rob’s strategic focus is on creating innovative, customized food science and safety solutions to address the complex problems facing the food industry. Maxxam’s market leadership position is strengthened by Rob’s ability to anticipate customer needs and offer the most comprehensive scope of services to ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance for customers’ food operations. In this role, Rob oversees the national business development and laboratory personnel responsible for Maxxam’s Microbiology, Food Chemistry and Food Residue services.
Rob originally joined Maxxam in the Forensic DNA group and made the transition to Maxxam’s Food division. Prior to Maxxam, Rob had management responsibility for operations, R&D and business development in two biotech firms, specialized in DNA analysis and synthesis. Rob has a Masters degree in Science from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph and is a lifetime honorary member of the National Pedigreed Livestock Council.
