Maxxam specializes in four main lines of business: Environmental, Petroleum, Food Science & Safety and Forensic & DNA Services. If you have expertise in one of these areas, we can help support your professional development.
Environmental Testing – A national service of chemical, microbiological and toxicity analyses in water, soil/waste and air.
Food Science & Safety – Maxxam offers a complete safety net to the Food Industry with Chemical, microbiological, nutritional labeling and site inspection services. Residue analysis in soil, crop and food provides additional support to meet import/export regulatory requirements.
Petroleum Testing – Analytical services include petroleum fluid analysis, field sampling, mobile laboratories, environmental and air analysis, product process optimization and process trouble-shooting.
Forensics/ DNA Services – Drug and alcohol detection services for safety sensitive positions as well as Genetic Identification: using powerful DNA-based detection, Maxxam supports paternity, immigration, criminal and corporate investigations in humans, and trait marker, parentage verification and “trace-back” analysis in cattle, swine and horse.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Maxxam partners with community-based agencies to offer volunteer placement terms to individuals seeking to obtain work experience. Please note that individuals interested in volunteering must be affiliated with a community-based program.
