DESCRIPTION:

• Ensure all client orders are entered in a timely manner according to the CoC; process necessary paperwork and project management notification
• SAIL approve jobs in priority sequence based on sample holding time, job due date and/or received date.
• Ensure appropriate test code and parameters are entered for every job, either by using a quote, profile or master test code list.

DESCRIPTION:

The Customer Service Rep (CSR) contributes, through the personalized service he/she provides, to the quality service offered to the clients and thus to the organization’s objectives.  Acting as the intermediary between the clients and the laboratory, the CSR ensures the satisfaction of the clients in regards to the services offered.  The CSR is the key client relation contact that is critical to development of true client loyalty.

      Customer Development:

• Nurture ongoing relationship with Petro-Canada/ Suncor and other Sladeview customers.

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Technology from a post-secondary institution.
• 1-2 Years of related experience would be an asset, but not required.
• Strong Verbal & Written communication Skills.
• Must be Computer Literate with strong familiarity to Word-processing, Spreadsheet & Database programs.
• Must be able to multi-task. Needs to be energetic and enthusiastic.
•  Be able to work as part of a team to meet customer requirements.

Must be willing to work both morning & evening shifts on a rotational basis & weekends.

• Receive test samples from external customers
• Unpack samples and organize them according to analytical requirements
• Enter client and sample information into LIMS
• Ensure proper sample storage
• Work within established SOPs and QA/QC protocols

DESCRIPTION:

The Customer Service Rep (CSR) contributes, through the personalized service he/she provides, to the quality service offered to the clients and thus to the organization’s objectives.  Acting as the intermediary between the clients and the laboratory, the CSR ensures the satisfaction of the clients in regards to the services offered.  The CSR is the key client relation contact that is critical to development of true client loyalty.

• Responsible for maintenance and development of client accounts;
• Key liaison between the client, the laboratory, and senior Maxxam management;
• Respond to all client calls (telephone or email) within one hour of reception time;
• Develop client relations through the provision of top notch client services;
• Provide clients with technical support on their varied projects;
• Assist clients with the provision of data interpretive support;
• Provide consultation, recommendations, and technical assistance to clients;
• Stay current on the application and interpretation of Food regulations;
• Document and get closure on all client complaints, (CARS);
• Stay current with all methods, PARs, and MOCs, via the various reporting tools of the QSI, and CMR databases;
• Assist the sales team with active participation in development and execution of the regional sales strategies;
• Assist the sales team with active participation in all quotation review, and RFP generation;
• Development of actual and potential clients through active participation in new account identification, and regular account reviews;
• Work in conjunction with the client to coordinate all related project requirements;
• Facilitate communication between clients and other laboratory departments;
• Coordinate work schedules, reports, data, billing and client requests;
• Assist with the preparation of correspondence and reports for technical analytical data review, marketing information, and other related documentation;
• Complete all office related administration tasks such as filing, reporting and invoice generation, mailing, etc.;
• Coordinate and follow-up of all subcontracted analyses;
• Coordinate and schedule on time pick-up of samples;
• Coordinate on time and accurate delivery of all bottle orders;
• Work with accounting staff to facilitate discussions on client account payment habits; assist with collection of monies owed;
• Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations;
• Ensure Quality Standards are maintained;
• Provide client feedback to the Maxxam management;
• Maintain current employee training file:
• Adhere to and participate with all QA\QC policies of the organization;

 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree or college diploma in Sciences
• Experience in a laboratory environment an asset.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Energetic personality that can work independently in a multi tasking fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments.
• Good knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Detail orientated & record keeping skills
• Ability to accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and instructions

      To provide general support in the pre-processing of samples, and perform certain analysis

• General lab support including sort and distribute, pre-processing of samples, weighing and analysis.
• Ensure that cross contamination/labeling between samples and other materials does not occur.
• Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
• Prioritize jobs according to Rush and client specific deadlines.
• Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Follow SAIL and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Keep their work area clean, neat and organized.
• Provide support to other members of the section.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor Retrieve samples required for reworks or customer/ lab requests.
