In the spirit of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Vancouver Canucks advancing into the Finals, Maxxam is cheering on our Canadian team and supporting the kids of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Canuck Place offers world-class health care within a home-like environment for children living with a life-threatening illness. They also support families in finding the courage and resources to cope.
Maxxam is donating a $5,000 gift, plus $50 for every Canucks playoff goal scored, matching staff donations, organizing events and recently opened a Charity Auction for clients.
To date, we have raised over $14,000.
Maxxam is pleased to announce that Rob Wilson of SNC Lavalin Environment Division was the highest bidder for tickets to the finals offered on the Charity Auction. “Corporate responsibility and community involvement are more important than ever,” says Rob. “I am glad Maxxam took the lead on this initiative. We plan to further leverage this donation by engaging our staff and creating a greater sense of community spirit while providing for this worthy cause.”
Bids remain open for the coveted Canucks jersey signed by the team until June 15th.
All proceeds go to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
