REACH
REACH is a new European Regulation related to the safe use of chemicals for the protection of human health & the environment. The legislation deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical Substances.
Under the new EU legislation, all importers, manufacturers and downstream users of chemicals are required to submit information on the properties of their chemicals to the European Chemicals Agency.
If you missed the REACH pre-registration deadline of December 1, 2008, you are no longer allowed to manufacture or import chemicals in the European Union until a full registration dossier is made to the ECHA (The European Chemicals Agency).
