REACH is a new European Regulation related to the safe use of chemicals for the protection of human health & the environment. The legislation deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical Substances.
Under the new EU legislation, all importers, manufacturers and downstream users of chemicals are required to submit information on the properties of their chemicals to the European Chemicals Agency.
If you missed the REACH pre-registration deadline of December 1, 2008, you are no longer allowed to manufacture or import chemicals in the European Union until a full registration dossier is made to the ECHA (The European Chemicals Agency).
Maxxam can provide your product(s) with a superior quality analysis for a REACH registration dossier using:
- Ecotoxicology testing
- Ecofate testing
- Physical/Chemical testing
Maxxam can often perform studies under a ‘rush’ timeline, enabling you to miss the least amount of manufacturing and distribution time. We have also recently completed construction of a new, state-of-the-art, 5000 sq. ft Ecotoxicology facility to accommodate increased testing volumes.
Maxxam is recognized by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a GLP facility compliant with OECD Principles of GLP and with the provisions of Council document CAN-P-1583 entitled Guidelines for the Recognition of GLP Compliant Test Facilities.
At Maxxam, testing on chemicals and their toxicity levels are completed in a timely manner for all clients, including REACH compliant services.
The Maxxam laboratory facilities are in a new state of the art Ecotoxicology facility, where chemicals can be tested for their environmental toxicity for REACH regulation compliance.
