Quality Assurance for REACH
Maxxam is recognized by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a GLP facility compliant with OECD Principles of GLP and with the provisions of Council document CAN-P-1583 entitled Guidelines for the Recognition of GLP Compliant Test Facilities. We are regularly inspected and audited by SCC to maintain these accreditations and we have been audited by a number of our clients.
Our accreditation is pertinent in the field of chemical and toxicity testing for programs such as REACH, Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), High Production Volume Chemical (HPVC), New Substance Notification (NSN) and Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA). Our clients have submitted the results of our work to agencies such as Environment Canada, the US EPA, and European regulatory authorities for use in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.

This objective is achieved through technological leadership, progressive staff education and a commitment to comply with the applicable GLP regulations of agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the Environmental Protection Agency. MAXXAM’s Burnaby laboratory is recognized by the Standards Council of Canada as an OECD – GLP compliant laboratory.
