Prompt Gamma (PG) for Boron Analysis

Prompt gamma activation analysis (PGAA) is a non-destructive, nuclear analytical technique. A sample is irradiated in a low-energy (cold) neutron beam, the emitted gamma radiation is recorded as a spectrum and analyzed to determine Boron concentration. PGAA is ideal for Boron analysis; it is a sensitive technique, requires minimal sample purification and doesn’t suffer from matrix effects as with some other methods of analysis.
All are accredited to ISO17025 by the Standards Council of Canada.
